Principles of Flight presentation @ Burnham Elementary School

IMG_0991On Oct 26, we had another very successful Principle of Flight presentation to the combined 5th grade of Burnham Elementary School in Bridgewater, and Booth Elementary School from Roxbury CT.  Ron Faanes started the morning off with a 45 minute presentation complete with hands on displays to wow the students.  The class then split, half going outside to fly balsa gliders and launch rockets with Ron, Gary & Shinichi. The other half went to the gym with Vic, Bill Schrull and myself to fly on the simulator, buddy box fly a mini copter, and a new element of quad copters that the students flew themselves, which was generously added by Bill Schrull

In addition, a new friend of FLYRC, Vic Tomporowski joined us and helped with the simulator and other activities. Another great day for the students, teachers and FLYRC team that left exhausted.☺️

A Big Thank You to the entire FLYRC Team, especially Bill Schrull for his generous donation of the quad copters, Vic Tomporowski for helping out and his generous donation of old gliders, Ron for leading the charge, Gary for always being there, Shinichi for joining in and 5th grade teachers Daniella Morello & Amy Testani for taking pictures & coordinating the two schools to make this special day happen.
