FlyRC – AMA Leader Club – Gold Level

GREAT NEWS!

The AMA has a program to recognize Clubs that promote the hobby, practice flying good practices/safety and are an overall good citizen with community outreach. I recently submitted our application to be recognized as an AMA Leader Club. The great news is, we were approved at the Gold Level, the highest achievable. Less than 7% of the New England clubs achieve this level. It’s a great accomplishment in which we all should be proud. It is the result of solid field flying practices and our active modeling outreach program to local schools and other organizations, where we have been participating for many years. Following is an excerpt from our AMA District 1 VP’s (Andy Argenio) email:

Congratulations on FLYRC AMA Club #803 on completing all the requirements for AMA Gold Leader Club Status.  Your club now increases the District 1 Gold Leader Clubs from 6 to 7 of the 105 clubs in New England. Excellent accomplishment!

We also received a nice plaque and recognition pins for each FLYRC Club member.

As background, below is the link to brief description of the AMA Leader Club program and attached is our application with accompanying explanation.

CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE!

Sincerely, Bill Josiger
