Field Review:

Cliff mentioned that the Southbury field is in great shape. Also the field is being dug up by an animal at one corner of the field and members should be careful taking off.

Gino said members should be careful when setting up their electric plane. Also make sure your hand is not near a prop when starting the plane. As a note a member was injured by a prop so be careful.

Old Business:

The work party went well at Southbury. Also any items left by accident at the field should be placed in the shed.

Thanks to Bob Motta for arranging picnic. The picnic did go well thanks to all that contributed.

Thanks also to Paul Ivy for servicing the hand mower.

Some pilots are flying over or close to the road at the Southbury field and must shorten their approach.

New Business:

A new club regulation was passed that states when a maiden flight is made all pilots must keep their planes on the ground for safety purposes.

Ron Faanes will come up with a proposal for night flying at the next meeting.

In the future the last Saturday of September will be our annual picnic.

Jerry Jarvis brought in a proposal to take over a new field at Hancock Brook Lake in Plymouth, Connecticut. This is a free field with an 800 foot runway. A few club members will go to the field to check out the field and it will be discussed at the next meeting.
