Bob Motta reviewed club membership and said that the club membership was full. Also there are about eight people awaiting entrance into the club.

Field Review:

Cliff mentioned that the Southbury field road is in great shape since gravel was put down on it after the heavy rains we have been having.

The Newtown field is also in good shape. Both fields are wet from the heavy downpours we have been having so be careful when flying.

Sound & Safety:

Gino was not at the meeting. Also mentioned was that people are still close to and heading for the pits while flying.

Old Business:

Cliff mentioned that the work party went well. For the Kid-Day we only had one youngster show up so we may want to cancel this event.

New Business:

Cliff asked club members to come up with new ideas for things to be put on at the meetings.

Also mentioned was that paid guest pay $50 club fees to fly and they MUST fly with a current club member.

A newspaper article was brought in titled “COULD MODEL AIRPLANES BECOME A WEAPON?”. If any reporters comes to the fields do not give them information but refer them to the AMA.

Also next month will be the club tag sale so bring in anything you want to get rid of. Next month we will also vote on club officers.

The RAM show has been moved to the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

Also there will no longer be a fun-fly - we will change it to a flying-get-together. On October 29 we will have the fun fly and picnic.

Club dues are also due and the last date for dues is December.

A suggestion was made to have name tags for club members and members were asked to come up with other ideas for the next meeting. A suggestion was given for two name tags one for your wallet and the second for flying.
