Lime application rates are based on soil samples taken by Alex and analyzed by UConn. This program is not intended to turn the field into a putting green

** NOTE>>>This Scotts product will turn the grass different colors for a short time, but the grass will rebound.

This proposal does not address the small bare spot on the SW portion of the field. Removal of the top layer of clay and replacing with top soil, reseeding, straw and starter fertilizer is a separate item to be addressed later.

This program will require a commitment of Club manpower and result in a thicker/richer grass cover on the field. As a result, mowing will have to be increased to two times a week in the spring. Also there will be managed “No Fly Times” when the maintenance/applications are occurring and a brief time after. These should be pre-arranged and managed to minimize the impact to flying. Any flyers at the field when maintenance is occurring, will be drafted into the work team
