Secretary Report

 February 3, 2010 Club Meeting



General Business:

Cliff Becker began the meeting and reviewed the previous club notes. A vote was taken and the previous club notes were accepted by club members.

Treasurer Report:

Brian reviewed expenses and income since the last meeting. A vote was taken and the Treasurers Report was accepted. 


Bob Motta announced that membership for the club is full.

Field Review:

The Southbury field is in great shape as well as the Newtown field.

Sound & Safety:

Gino had no new announcements.

Old Business:

Cliff mentioned that the Electric Fly-in at Pomperaug High School went very well and that everybody seemed to have a good time. 

The Frequency Board at the Southbury field was brought up again. A separate 2.4 Giga Htz Board to be added to the regular board was suggested and a vote was taken and approved by club members. 

New Business:

Cliff mentioned that members should remember to take their planes out of the flight box if they are not flying. 

Also remember to take your planes off the work bench if they are assembled. Cliff brought up name tags for club members and an estimate of cost was given to club members. 

A vote was taken and club members accepted purchasing the badges. 

Also mentioned is that the club is still looking for gravel for the Southbury field. Brian said he will check with local yards for quotes. 

Cliff mentioned that Jimmy Goodwin has submitted an estimate to mow the Newtown field for $500. A vote was taken and the estimate was approved. 

Also mentioned was Sunday February, 14 is the upcoming Vernon, Ct model show and on March 13, the Lebanon, Pa. Model Show. 

New club members were introduced to the club.
