Before the business meeting it was announced that Bob Johnston had passed away.  Bill Josigner was asked to give a eulogy which was initiated by a request for moment of silence. Bill spoke of a very kind guy who loved the hobby.  He was a frequent member of the Dawn Patrol. His friendly face and smile will be missed.


APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes were approved with two corrections (1) Joe Giacone was inadvertently left off the nomination form it was corrected for the final voting.  Anyone who voted early and wished to change their vote was encouraged to do so. , (2) A vote was taken to mandate electrics be armed at the flight line not on the benches and walked to the flight line.

TREASURERS REPORT: All miscellaneous bill paid including the ent Fly RC will start the year with a $5,000 positive balance.

MEMBERSHIP: Presently there are 30 paid members.  Dues must be paid by Feb 1 or flying privileges for 2019 will be withdrawn.

FIELD MAINTENANCE: Field is muddy do to the rain moles are still a problem which will be attacked in the spring. Fall fertilizer was put down in October.  Discussion on mowing options for 2019 were reviewed same conclusion as previous meeting.  This discussion will continue until spring and final budget is prepared. If we choose to do ourselves volunteers will be needed and someone to coordinate the effort take charge as usual no one stepped forward.



·     Hobby Hangout was discussed as our future monthly meeting place.  Fly RC membership applauded John Gallagher’s offer.  HH is centrally located the price is right and many more options would be available for club activities.

·     A combined HH Fly RC Swap meeting was discussed

·     Pomporaug High School Art/Photography Department is purchasing drone under an approved grant.  They have asked Fly RC for guidance in purchase and training to fly for photography.  Cliff Becker has informed the school that anyone involved must have an AMA license.

·     John Gallager announced that 14 New Milford High School students will visit the field January 15.


·     The slate of nominees for Fly RC Officers was presented by Jay Wiener. Corrected Ballots were handed out.  Dave Baron was asked to tabulate the results were Bill Josiger President, Nino Desposati, Vice President, Ron Faanes Secretary, Jay Wiener Treasurer.

·     New Year’s Day Lunch will be at Ron Faanes house after annual first flight

·     CAP Visit in June

·        NEW BUSINESS:

·        Is There an NE Jamboree - no answer

·        Nino gave a great talk on Lipo battery care

Tabled Issues

·        Finalize grass cutting to approve 2019 budget

·        Rules and Bylaw’s revision committee

·        Buddy Box issue will be incorporated in revised rules
