December 2, 2015 Club Meeting

General Business:

The meeting was called to order at 7:34 PM.  There were 30 members present and there were no members of the Public present.

A motion was made by EKN BLAU and seconded by Paul Ivey   to approve the Minutes of the Ooctber 7, 2015 meeting minutes as written.   Motion approved by all members who were present at the October meeting.  

Treasurer Report:

Septic pumping and a check for cutting grass were the bills for the month of October.

Membership:

Bob Motta reviewed the current Fly RC membership. There are  currently 97 paid members 37 have paid their 2015 dues.  

A motion was made by President Cliff Becker to award a life time membership to Bob Ranaldo for maintaining the Fly RC web site.  The motion was moved by Bob Milanese and seconded by Paul Ivey.  The motion was carried wit h a unanimous vote of membership present.

Field Review:

None Discussed 

Sound & Safety:

Email dated March 31, 2015 from CFPA regarding April 2015 events and programs.

Old Business:

President Cliff Becker thanked Deepak Elias, Bill Josiger, Bob Motta and Peter Matra for their setting up the Fly RC picnic over 25 members attended.

New Business:

  • Vote was taken to proceed with RFP for resurfacing the field

  • Road repair will be discussed with Mitchel family over the winter

  • Net meeting members will discuss an interactive web site

50/50: Won by Russ Pribanic

Meeting Adjournment:

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 and Members reviewed items in  Fly RC Swap Meet which would move from one members to another for a fee.

Club Web Site:

Joe Giacone suggested to Bob Ranaldo, in an email, that we should have a link on our website to the weather conditions at the flying field.  Bob suggested providing links to the weather stations at the nearest airports.  

Better yet, Joe suggested using the link to the Astrium Satellite station near the flying field.  Richard Margules provided the link and it, as well as links to the Danbury Airport weather station, and a link to the weather at Sandy Hook are now on our website.  

Thanks Joe for the suggestion.
