Secretary Report

 April 4, 2012 Club Meeting


   Meeting Minutes Archive


General Business:

Cliff Becker began the meeting and read the previous club notes. A motion and vote was taken to accept the previous club notes. 

Treasurer Report:

Brian reviewed expenses and income since the last meeting. A vote was taken and the Treasurers Report was accepted. 


Bob Motta reviewed club membership and said that there are 99 members. There are 11 Probation members and 3 open members. Bob also passed out a new membership list. 

Field Review:

Cliff mentioned that the Southbury field is in great shape. The Newtown field is also in great shape. 

Sound & Safety:

Gino had nothing to say at this meeting.

Old Business:

No review.

New Business:

Cliff mentioned that this is the last meeting and we will meet in doors again in October 2012. 

Also there will be an upcoming Southbury field picnic that will be eMailed to everyone as to the dates. 

Mentioned also was that the fire extinguishers at the field needs to be replaced.

Also sound testing can be requested by anyone at the fields. The DB meter to test sound of engines is in the shed at Southbury. 

Cliff also mentioned that people are needed at Southbury field for clean up on May 5th. 

Bob Motta mentioned that there will be a model flea market to Turner Falls, Massachusetts on April 28. 

Bob also passed out an article showing how to calculate a models center of gravity. 

Al Jarvis mentioned that there is a mandatory flying height of 400 feet and that some members may not be abiding by this rule.

Show and Tell:

Bob Motta brought in an old 1970 plane that has a single landing wheel in the center front of the plane. Also the plane is powered by a Weber .60 engine. Great plane Bob!!
