Secretary Report

 April 7, 2010 Club Meeting


   Meeting Minutes Archive

General Business:

Cliff Becker began the meeting and reviewed the previous club notes. A vote was taken and the old club notes were accepted by club members. This is the last indoor meeting and the next indoor meeting will be in October.

Treasurer Report:

Brian reviewed expenses and income since the last meeting as well as the end of year tax return. A vote was taken and the Treasurers Report was accepted. 


Bob Motta announced that membership for the club is full. Cliff announced a new category of club members call “guest”. A “guest” will pay a limited membership and will be allowed to only fly with a current club member. All “guest” members will be issued a Red Card which must be displayed by them while flying.

Field Review:

The Southbury field is in great shape as well as the Newtown field. 

Sound & Safety:

Gino mentioned that members should check their transmitter batteries and that these batteries should be changed every couple of years.. 

Old Business:

Cliff flew his Stuka plane and said it flew very well. 

New Business:

Cliff mentioned that there will be a work party on May 8 and all are members should attend. If May 8th is a rain date the following May 15th will be the scheduled date.

Brian brought up gravel for the road to the field at Southbury and gave estimates on the cost. Gino mentioned that this clean-up date is a club event and should be attended by all club members. 

Cliff mentioned that we will need tools such as a weed whacker, rakes, electric screw drivers and chain saw for the clean-up. The work party will begin at 9 or 9:30 AM on May 8th.

Also Cliff brought up July 10th as Kid Day. On this day only kids will be allowed to fly.

Bob Motta brought up the installation of the new frequency board at the Southbury field. Members discussed 3 proposals and agreed that 2.4 Mhz users will get a pin for that Mhz only and that there will be 4 pins only.

No comments made except Bob Ranaldo is doing a great job with our site.
