Everyone who came to Sunday’s Oktoberfest had a great time and all that attended made it a great success.

Special thanks to Bob Motta for all the hard work he did organizing, getting the food, the supplies and setting up.  Thanks also to Bob Blonski for again being our chef of the day.

We had 22 members participate, many of whom brought more food and desserts. The day started off with a Club favorite, “Mrs. Blonski’s” homemade coffee cake with coffee, followed by donuts, pound cake and assorted other goodies. Lunch was kielbasa with sauerkraut, baked bean casserole, smoked ribs, homemade vegetable beef soup and a side of Portuguese sausage bread. Everything was delicious and a significant step above our normal cuisine of tube steaks (hot dogs). We even had dessert…. apple and pumpkin pie, homemade brownies, assorted cookies and pastries.

No one left hungry and we surely started bulking up for winter! In addition, many brave souls challenged the wind and had numerous successful flights with no significant mishaps.

Certificates of Appreciation with awards were presented to Will Casazza and Bob Milanese for their outstanding contributions of time and talent to the Club. Their efforts make a huge difference to our Club.

All in all, it was a GREAT day which we will repeat again for sure!
